Pelosi and the people talking to her have learned nothing—NOTHING!—from President-Elect Obama’s campaign and looming administrations.

Both parties face a civil war in the next 4–8 years. The GOP has to deal with the literally insane neocon/theocon extreme right-wing. The Dems will need to reconcile being in power with the consensus-seeking, though netroots-born, Obama and the dirty hippie, baby boomers in the House and Senate.

I have to listen to Sen. Conrad on the drive home saying essentially “I voted to give Sec. Paulson $700 Billion no strings attached, but now he’s using that money as if there were no strings attached and that makes me unhappy.” bullshit. And when I get home I see Google News say AIG execs took their second plush corporate retreat using my money since their bailout was approved?
