Best Chicken Marinade (Garlic, Ginger, Lime)
Ingredients
- 1/3 C Soy Sauce
- 1/4 C Olive Oil
- 3 cloves (~1 Tbsp) Garlic, minced
- ~1 Tbsp (~1 inch piece) Ginger, minced
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 Small Lime, Zest and Juice
- 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 medium scallion, thinly sliced
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
- Whisk to combine.
- Add chicken, toss to coat thoroughly, and let rest in refrigerator for 1-4 hours.
Notes
- Orange will work in place of lime, but I do not recommend lemon.
- 1/4 C red or sweet yellow onion will work in place of the scallion.
- I’m not a fan of marinating anything longer than 4 hours unless you like meat with a mushy texture.
- If you use Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce, add 2–3 tsp salt.
