Riot!

The gestapo-like tactics of LEAs (law enforcement agencies) in Minnesota are getting all the headlines.

But this same shit happened before the DNC party too. Have fun trying to find those news report archives.

This RNC event is pretty disturbing:

Whelan says his roommate, Erin Stalmaker, went out to talk to talk to the police. She asked the officers why they were there. The officers asked why people were running away from them. Erin reportedly told the officers that their drawn automatic weapons probably had something to do with it. She was detained after asking to see a warrant.

But the same shit happened in 2004 and has been de rigueur since the ‘68 Democratic party riots. Anything that might possibly put one of these parties off-script is mercilessly stamped down lest their nominee’s campaign go the way of Hubert Humphrey’s.

This kind of blatantly un-Constitutional behavior by the people we expect to protect and lead us is deserving of outrage. (It’s also more likely to start a riot than stop one, IMHO.)

But let’s not act like this is a partisan issue.
