Best & Favorite Gamecube Games

Another in my series of lists that don’t really matter.

1. Metroid Prime—favorite video game ever
2. Super Mario Sunshine—haven’t enjoyed a Mario game so much since the original Super Mario Bros. on the NES
3. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker—incredibly underrated; spent an embarrassing amount of time sailing aimlessly
4. Viewtiful Joe—terribly marketed, though critically adored and awesome; sold fewer copies than Madagascar (based on the terrible animated movie of the same name)
5. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time: perfect intersection of style, content, and fun
6. Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem: a really lovely Cthulhu homage
7. Battalion Wars: some control and camera problems, but a great, little quick-and-dirty war sim
