Malicious Idiots

The White House “upgrades” from Lotus Notes, which has built-in support for archiving all email sent and received, to Microsoft Exchange, which doesn’t. So they implement what they call “journalling” whereby human interns sort email by hand. (That’s not “journalling”. It’s “stupidity”. Or “fire-the-CIO-worthy incompetence”) In the process the Bush White House “loses” 5 million emails.

Un-frackin-believable. Seriously: this is bullshit of the deepest and most putrid kind. This Administration is again breaking federal law and obstructing justice.

This brings to mind a twist on the Arthur C. Clarke quote: “Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.”
