It’s Back! Yes!
I hope everyone caught the final season premier of Battlestar Galactica this weekend. Wow!
I didn’t catch the sneak peak stream at noon on Friday because I was working. I didn’t catch the premier on the Sci Fi channel at 9pm because we don’t get cable.
But I did finally watch it on Saturday while Elizabeth took her nap. Watching BSG on Hulu is almost as good as watching it on DVD.
- I can pretty much watch it when I want.
- There pretty much aren’t any commercials.
- The video and sound quality are pretty good.
I do have to watch it when I have an Internet connection. Lame.
It does have four thirty-second commercials. Lame, but not as lame as four five-minute commercial breaks.
The video and sound aren’t DVD quality, but they are better than I’ve seen on cable.
The best part is that Hulu is easy to navigate, works in Safari, and I haven’t had any problems watching what I want to so far.
There are a ton of negatives: there aren’t a whole lot of full episodes or movies, though they have lots of clips to pad their name dropping; the movies and episodes are limited to Universal’s (NBC) and Fox’s catalog; some of the movies are the “TV” versions edited for length, censored for content, and cropped from widescreen to TV screen; you can’t catch up on the entirety of BSG on Hulu; and I can’t watch any of this on my iPod Touch.
Still, if you haven’t seen the BSG premier, this is a much better place to get it than the Pirate Bay.
I only hope they start carrying The Shield before it premiers its final season.
