2007: The Year in Music!!!

Since I mentioned, in my Timbalada post, that I really liked Girls and Boys I thought I’d share the complete list of my favorite albums from 2007:

Honorable Mention: System (mp3) by Seal

I think the one thing that holds these all together is that they feel “true” and personal. Except for the Seal album, they are all minimally produced and were crafted as labors of love and art instead of manufactured for airplay and chart spots.

Even Seal’s album, which was produced by the guy who produced Madona’s last and sounds suitably dance-floor-worthy, has a very personal touch. He sings a duet with his wife, for frack sake!
