The Right has been taken over by lunatics

Between the birthers, the tea baggers, and now the town hall mobs, it’s become almost impossible to take anyone seriously who might have legitimate reasons to oppose proposals from Congressional Democrats or the President.

The national Republican party and its “base” of support has become home to all of the raving, conspiracy theory spewing, proudly ignorant, lunatics in the country.

The change in culture that allows such disingenuous and, frankly, stupid and thuggish antics from a tiny minority to overwhelm all other debate and opposition disgusts and worries me in the extreme.
